What was that Cartoon called?

I remember a cartoon from the early 90's and it had a wizard and 'his friends' who were a bunch of kids. There was also some kind of flying/floating fish who was the wizards companion. It wasnt that good but just can't remember what it was called? Any ideas?

I think it was Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, that had a floating fish, didn't it? Wasn't it the pet of the character called Flora? And Herc was the captains name!
Christ, why do I remember that?

Thanks but its neither of those. Its more recent and I think I remember the wizard was called was dressed in a blue cloak and hat with stars on it. His fish friend was yellow. I dont know why its bugging me so much!
