do you mean

x^3 - 2x^3 - 11x -12 or
x^3 - 2x� - 11x -12?

=0?

anyway, neither are quadratics, they are cubic equations.

for x^3 - 2x� - 11x -12, there is only one real factor, (x-4.8)
