London
Hi. Im going to London with my girlfriend in a couple of weekends time. We are watching Lion King the Musical on the Saturday night and will then probably have a few drinks after into the early hours round the West End. We are staying the near Tower of London (2 mins walk from Tower Hill Tube station) Is there public transport between the two in the early hours ? Or will it be taxi and if so whats the approx cost. Also we will have most of Sunday to take bit of a look around so any suggestions what a young couple can do ?

Here is a circular walk you could do along the River Thames (it is actually a run but you could walk it). You would be starting from the right hand end.
It is 7 miles but you could easily skip a bit by crossing on another bridge or using the tube or bus to take you back ot the hotel.

This walk would take you to all sorts of interesting places including:
Tower of London, Tower bridge, the Tate modern art gallery, the famous "wobbly bridge", Shakespeare's globe theatre, the London Eye, Houses of Parliamant, plus various famous boats moored on the thames.
On a sunny Sunday this would be a wonderful stroll.

You are actually staying East of central London so it makes sense to do things in that area.
This could include St Pauls, the monument (where great fire of London started), Tate modern, Tower of London or Tower bridge.
Or the British Museum which is one of THE great museums in the world. It may sound boring but if you go there you will be staggered by the relics the British brought back (stole) from Egypt and other countries.
And it is FREE to get in.
Here are just some of the things that are there

Or you could go out East to Greenwich. This is a lovely place and a respite from central London.

Or you could just go up Oxford Street and give your girlfriend your credit card !
On a Sunday Covent Garden and Trafalger Square are great places just to sit and people watch.
St James park is great for a stroll on a Sunday (near Buckingham palace).
Or London Zoo in Regents Park.
Or Harrods, or Hamleys toy shop in Regent Street, or Fortnum and Mason in Piccadily (amazing shop).
The list is endless.

The Tube runs until about 1am or there are night buses which run all night for standard fares. N15 goes from West End to Tower Hill.
When travelling around London don't forget the buses - they are often better than Tubes if a change is required on the Tube. The TfL website www.tfl.gov.uk under buses has Spider diagrams which show all the buses from a location and there is one for the Tower of London.
Suggest you get a 2 day travelcard so you can use whatever buses and Tubes you want.
