Can anyone point me in the right direction with my remaining few ! 3. Complete man of the House 4. Roof the house in May 5. A French town dozes 8. Birds backscrub soundalike, your highness 11. Two names for this lady under the bridge 23. Strike this man with a rheight ... Adolf Hitler has been given as an answer already. I can see the strike and hit but can anyone tell me what rheight means. I can't find it in Chambers. Many thanks xx
not 100% sure about the word 'Rheight' but I think its to do with reflections from a light source in photography. I recall this being used on a description of some specialised cameras on Stealth Bombers. I hope this helps, if not i will shut up waffling!!
Rupert
Evening crofter, good to hear from you again. I can see it now. It's one of those that gets an groan when you see the answer. Thanking you kindly ... xx
PS ... Been to Waterstones for Bradfords. The only one they could find on the computer was only about 6 !!! I feel sure that this sounds to cheap to be the one you are on about. Does your have a IBSN number. xx in anticipation
Thankyou Rupert. I don't know yet whether it will help me with the clue but very interesting info. I couldn't find the existence of the word anywhere xx
Thanks very much Terni. I don't think I would have got those.
5. I can see nap for dozes ... is there another link or am I staring at something obvious ?
I have gone with the flow with 3 and 30 so I can't be of any help to you xx
No 5 was suggested by another ABer and I've taken it as nap (as in dozes) and Orleans ( French town) - a bit iffy but again I couldn't do better.
As for no 30, James is the naughty engine, but couldn't get further so like you I'm going with the flow.
Thanks Terni. Only a couple of days to mull it over now so we will soon be out of our misery once we've posted them !! xx
Cheers crofter. I will take that to Waterstones this week and see what they can come up with ... I can't wait to have the knowledge that book has given you. xx
