does anyone else feel this show is animal cruelty, i mean those poor alligators & things that have to cope being put in a compartment with david gest just because apparently that classes as 'entertanment'? if they wanna do a show like this why cant they do it and not involve any animals?! Just like all the creatures that get eaten just because again thats 'entertainment'.
it just annoys me, because no-one ever seems to think that the animals get distressed by being shoved in to compartments with screaming people..

Yep totally agree, can't say I've much sympathy for crocs though as I personally dislike 'em.....it's the rats and mice that upset me. Had them in the past as pets and they are truly are lovely.

I don't know how they get away with it, all those poor creatures being eaten and toads being thrown down a well when they need to be able to get out of the water. Has anyone told the RSPCA ??

I havent seen the croc, but I did have issues with the toads being thrown down the well.

I have banged on about this in previous years, and as a portest I refuse to watch the whole gruesome circus.

Just because creatures are not perceived as particularly attractive should not make them live fodder for armchair viewers to feel sick over - would they do it with kittens?

The whole programme is utter crap,celebrities ? what are they,over inflated egos of has beens or never will be, I have never watched it and never will but if creatures are being mistreated,it is obviously worse than I thought it was.

Thanks for the details Octavius, I must admit I hadn't really given much thought about what you can do to complain about it. I shall be writing to them today!!
Let the celebs do the heights challenges, starve them, deprive them of sleep, but the animal taunting should not be classed as entertainment.

Must admit, after having watched this show, there is definite animal cruelty involved, which makes me uneasy. Quite agree - let them do horrible challenges, but they shouldn't involve animals that will be distressed eg rats in a tank full of water, and the rats are trying to escape from drowning. :( I don't mind people eating grubs and maggots though... These are very simple organisms.
Glad so many other people feel uneasy about the animal cruelty on this show, I thought it was just me.

I totally agree - the animals or bugs or snakes in the programme should not be used and abused for the entertainment of people. This creates the belief that it is ok to do what you like with living creatures, and people watching may do the same. Despicable.

sorry, but do you all really think these animals are in danger or being put in stressful situations.......they are animals after all.i dont think they recognise david whats his name . though they may recognise jason donovan !
