Brown spotting 5 weeks pregnant?
6 Answers
Hi all, just wondering if any women out there can tell me their experiences. I found out on Monday that I was pregnant, but on monday morning I had a slgiht red spotting with no clots, then on wednesday a very slight brown coloured discharge and also a little bit more this morning, I haven't had any cramping but for about 2 weeks my breats had been sore to touch and they're not really sore anymore. I went to my doctor yesterday and she said this could be quite normal but could also be a sign of ealry miscarriage and is sending me for a blood test next week to check if I am still pregnant or not. Anyone else had any experiences like this and what was the outcome? Thanks in advance

It is fairly normal to experience old blood and spotting during the early weeks of pregnance but always best to get it checked out. Hope alls well.

In my first two pregnancies the breast pain went almost as soon as it had arrived..but in the last two I had it for the entire gestation..I was in agony 24/7!

Hi I know how you must be feeling I have been there too many times. I have been pregnant 6 times and had three lovely boys from them and sadly I have lost 4 two being twins. My first pregnancy when my oldest Son was born was the only one I did not bleed. Please try not to distress yourself too much (easier said then done I know). It is quite common to bleed in the early stages I have found this link for you I hope it helps explain a little bit of what you are experiencing.

If you start to get any cramps ring your local pregnancy assessment clinic which should be based at your local hospital, tell them you have already consulted your doctor. They are there to help if you have any worries and may ask you to come in early for a scan, I have had scans a 5 weeks you can see what is there even at that early stage.
I hope everything works out well for you,
