why has my passion flower not flowered yet?

neither have ours. is it something to do with the rubbish weather do you think?

Sorry people, but ours has loads of flowers and loads of fruits too. I cut it right back around the end of May because it had been left for over a year and there were mostly dead brown shoots on it and it looked a mess....then it just burst into life and has produced really thick cover over the trellis (thus stopping the neighbours spying on us)
