Hey folks, this is a strange idea so please don't laugh!
This christmas I want to get a very special friend of mine a unique present, I want to write a story and then make it into a little hardback book.
Im not after multi-million pound graphics or a 1000 page novel, just a few little pages with a short dedication verse at the front. Does anyone know of a company who could mount it into a hardback if I supplied all of the literature etc?
Great idea, probably hard to make happen at reasonable cost. Suggest getting hold of Yellow pages and searching out old-style bookbinders - small firms. They might do it for you as a one-off. Books become very cost-effective in large volume print runs, because the production cost is tiny per book, but the one-off set-up cost is very high.
i think it's a lovely idea.
i don't know if this would help, but the great little trading company do something for children to make their own book. I don't see why an adult couldn't do it though. And it's only 12.
