Bollywood films

Have you ever watched a Bollywood film and they talk in Indian for scene after scene and then one of the actors will say a sentence in English. Something like "and dont forget your glasses" Then they go back to speaking in Indian. Why all the random English phrases?

Dunno, but I love Bollywood films.... absolute quality when you've a dose of insomnia and a crate of guiness :)

dan the reason why they speak random English is believe it or not to "show off" because being able to speak English is considered a quality of refinement in India, shall I say. If anyone knows any better about the subject I invite them to speak up now ;-)
