Appropriate amount of tipping

What is the appropriate amount i should be tipping for "boat boys, bag boys" etc, in the Maldives?

1 US Dollar each - and if my experience of the Maldives applies to all the resorts (Thudufushi twice and Ari Beach once), you will be given the same waiter for the whole stay - he should be tipped at the end of the holiday.
