Problem after IE7 upgrade

My friend has upgraded (after prompting) Internet Explorer 7 onto her computer. Ever since, it seems to take ages going onto the internet explorer and other search engines. It looks like her computer isn't compatible for IE7. How does she go back to IE6? Can she just download it and will it over-ride IE7?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I run IE6 because IE7 seems like nothing but trouble. It may be a little difficult reverting back to IE6 now. Try uninstalling it first and get a copy of IE6 (on a disc or something) and install again. When Windows Update kicks in and trys to upgrade to IE7, just tell it no.
