strictly camera angles
is anyone else finding the camera work on strictly come dancing annoying?
I can't remember it being so fast moving.
It's probably very modern, and technically difficult - but it's driving me mad!!
I felt like i was spinning with the dancers - and then the camera would zoom in on the upper body, so you couldn't see the feet!
Is it just me?

It seemed to me that the camera crew were spinning around more times than the dancers themselves.
As for the close-ups... ARGH!
I remember my partner telling me that Clark Gable insisted on a whole body shot so people could see him actually dancing, I wish the BBC would take up the same technique..

Had to reply to this as we're half way through and the cameras zooming around all over the place is still as annoying as the first episode.
I find it really hard to concentrate on the dancers and while I appreciate seeing them from different angles can make it more interesting I usually end up getting to the end of each routine rather frustratred and feeling as if I've actually missed most of it.

but what can we do about it? We just have to put up with it. i think it's got worse if anything.
They even do it when there is a group of dancers - like that salsa lot t'other week. They had obviously spent hours practising their routine based on how it looked from THE FRONT. And then the director shows us them from every angle BUT the front. Aaaaaaaaaaarggghh!
