granada scorpio problem

i have a granada scorpio automatic 2.9lt on a l reg1994 that has just passed its mot and had a couple of jobs done to it new battery ..tryed to start it on sunday and there was nothing, no lights wont tick over,wont start.i have a battery booster that did the trick but the alarm goes off,then on a short jurney it just cut out , so i pulled over and gave it a boost got me going again.got home and as i swiched off the engine i could hear ciurcits from the fuse box makeing a noise,as i looked at the fuse box it was quite damp,it did have a plastic bag over the fuse box that i only noticed was not there this morning...i also tryed to give it a boost this morning at 5.45 but the alarm kept going off so i'm not very popular at the moment..any way the battery is on charge now but how has the battery gone flat as its brand new?and what about the fuse box makeing a noise...hope anybody can help.

Sounds like the garage that did the MOT sprayed water into the fuse box, very strange but I would have a word with them about the plastic badge and the battery.

i have managed to get the car running but there seems to be a problem with the imobalizer and its makeing a ticking noise.
