4 track recording

any one know of a piece of software that will act like a four track recording device? just want to record a track in and the play it back while recording the next instrument over it and so forth. must be simple to use, I am a musician not a computer whizz.

hi i'd look at cubase vst or pro tracks.... you might not be a computer wizz but you,ve got this far on the t'internet. so i'm sure youd get to grips with one of these programs after a little messing about..

hi, . I have a copy of cubase, it looked difficult to use but I will have another go.
