Looking for a new author to start reading, can anyone suggest someone I might enjoy. My current favorites are James Patterson, Karin Slaughter, Patricia Cornwall, Kathy Reichs, Tess Gerritsen but I have already read everything by them. Thanks in advance

Tried Michael Connelly? Gritty LAPD detective stuff. If you remember 'Bullitt' with Steve McQueen, well, it could have been written by Conelly, (though it wasn't)
You may have read them but Sidney Sheldon or John Grisham, Michael Connelly is also a good read.

If you like the Chick-lit then sophie Kinsella or Jill Mansel will give you a laugh.

Also Martina Cole is quite good the earlier ones are better than the most recent, try Dangerous Lady, two women etc.
Seems as if you enjoy a good thriller or murder mystery
Try Lee Child ,James Lee Burke,Robert Crais ,Peter Robinson, Elizabeth George ,Graham Hurley,Kate Ellis.Mark Billingham,Mo Hayder,Glenn Chandler.
Have at look at

Gives you all the latest books in any genre and most have a brief synopsis.
If you like what I call village murder a la Christie you might enoy M. C. Beatons Agatha Raisin series , Veronica Heley's Ellie Quicke series or the Oxford series by Veronica Stallwood.

Thank you all for those, i shall try some of them out and let you know in due course. thanks again
Try Harlan Coben - one of his books 'Tell no one' is very good.
What about Christopher Brookmyre. His books have a touch of humor and lots of twists and turns but no horror.
My own favourite in this genre (alas, I have now finished the series up-to-date) are the Eve Dallas novels by J D Robb (a pen-name of Nora Roberts, whose other works, curiously, don't inspire me). Essential to read the first three ( of over twenty) in order, so that you get to know the really interesting characters that pervade the series from then on.
I like all your favourites, and have just finished reading a book a friend lent me called 'Retribution' by Jilliane Hoffman. It's along the same lines as Patrica Cornwell and Kathy Reichs, and I really enjoyed it. Linda Farstein is also good, although quite similar to Kathy Reichs. Someone I also really like is Lisa Gardner, who has written about 8/9 fiction books with the 'serial killer' theme!
Michael Smith's Straw Men books are really very good.
