80's Sci-fi film HELP

I'm trying to find the name of a film from the 80's it was set in space (well on another planet anyway). I seem to remember it being a little bit like Mad Max. One of the scenes I remember was when the main character goes inside a strange building and all these Big fat blubbery white aliens (they looked a bit like the Michelin Tire man) come sliding down big chutes and start attacking him. I also seem to remember a girl (maybe a teenager) and she becomes the main dudes friend eventually she gets kidnapped by Evil blokes and thrown into a kind of tortue game which she has to survive and the main guy ries to save her.
