have been trying to find this classic milk advert on the web for ages. does anyone know where i can get it? failing that can anyone settle an argument as to how it goes, is it:

'if i drink my milk i'll be good enough to play for acrington stanley'
'who are they'
'exactly'

or

'if i don't drink my milk i'll only be good enough to play for acrington stanley'
'who are they'
'exactly'

cheers.

There's a post on this page (third one down), which I believe is the quote word for word. http://www.punchbaby.com/BeggingPage.htm
I'm pretty sure the original ad went... 1st boy, "Milkkk?"

2nd boy, "Yeah. Ian Rush (or someone else) said, If I don't drink enough milk, I'll only be good enough to play for Accccc-rington Stanley..."

1st boy, "Accccc-rigton Stanley... Euw r dey?"

2nd boy, "Exxxxactly." 1st boy tries to grab milk bottle from 2nd boy whilst saying "Give us itt" to which 2nd boy replies... "Naaaah gerrrofff."

"Got any lemonade? Milk Urgh."

"It's what Ian Rush drinks"

"Ian Rush?"

"Yeah, and he sais if I dont drink lots of milk when i grow up i'll only be able to play for Acrington Stanley."

"Acrington Stanley? Who are they?"

"Exactly!"

"Nah gerroff."

"Gimme some"

"Gerroff" .

If i remember correctley

I think it is the latter but the scouse accent is very thick. He definitely says a word beginning with "D" before drink!
Accrington Stanley (two c in Accrington) are a football team. Just type it in to google.
