Today I got suspended from work. The company never gave a reason in writing, only told me it was because of a "serious complaint". I dont work with the general public just in a workshop. I have a "fact finding meeting " with them tomorow but still dont know what the allegation is. Thanks in advance for any advice
Are you in a union? If so. contact them for advice. If not, is there someone at work who would accompany you at the meeting, to support you and prevent any bullying or intimidation taking place. Also, check the ACAS website for advice and info.
Hi just to update people. The complaint was "Failure to perform to required standards" I had a fact finding interview on fri 17th. I was then further suspended until a hearing on fri 24th. It involves not filling in paperwork corectley. This is my first warning. There are other issuses involved that arnt to clear at the moment as the company has also been looking at cctv recordings. I have joined the union and they are backing me and supplying a rep for the hearing
Blimey - that all sounds a bit mean. Why didnt they have a chat with you if and when they decided you weren't doing things correctly?? Sounds a bit OTT to me.Fingers crossed for you anyway.xx
