I dont like the whole kids thinking its all about presents, even though I do love my nephew opening his. I just feel its all got out of hand and isnt about family anymore. (or the other thing, ah yes jesus being born)

Love it...i love the build up to xmas and the whole holiday period. But i do have an 8 year old daughter so that makes it just perfect.

I could well do without it! It costs too much money , causes too much stress and is a lot of bloody hard work and has lost all its magic in recent years. Its purely about people making money. Bah Humbug!
However, the day itself, i enjoy! Its just the run up to it i despise!

Too stressful these days ....lovely for children and I enoyed it much more when my children were young ..but now it just seems like an excuse for people to go out and in all probability spend more than they can afford on things people don't really want and stuff themselves full of food that you wouldn't normally dream of eating during the year and then throw a lot of it away.The true spirit of Christmas as I remember it as a child has gone and it's just another commercial enterprise.
And ..why does it have to go on and on for about three months !!

Love it! But I hate the comercialism and it all starts too early. We should be well into Advent before the hype starts.

I love it so much best time of year but if it was all year round it would not have the same effect.

I think everyone to there own but I still do not understand why people would dislike christmas - how miserable are they. Its about enoying the period, giving, getting together and having a laugh. Why are people so negative. It may have become more commericalised over the years but you can see past it and work round it.

love it Christmas eve my dad driving thew the local villages ,with there Christmas lights to my relatives to drop off presents and a few drinks and chestnuts & mince pies on the way then back home to the local pub chrismassy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did until I saw devilwoman's post and remembered Cliff's cheesy, self-righteous face! Sorry d/w I am sure he's a lovely man!
I Love Love Love Christmas, but HATE the hype. If it started when it should, around first couple of weeks in December, maybe you wouldn't get the awful feeling of bathos when it got to Christmas Eve!
