Adrienne, I shall do the same, and then rise early to catch up with the end of the first days play. I fear the worst but will hopefully be proved wrong, after all we do HOLD the ashes!
We're of a mind - unless the guys really surprise us, we won't be holding them (the ashes, that is) for long! I'll say au revoir now - perhaps we'll compare cricket notes in a day or two - like on Saturday, IF we find time for DTGK this week!
I was intending to stay up to see the start of what I hope is a great series with us returning home with the Ashes of course. Unfortunately I'm not going to manage to stay awake today I'm dead on my feet after two early starts for work. I'll try to see a few overs in the morning before work hopefully with England 300 for 1 or failing that the Aussies all out for 120 (we can all dream can't we).
Magyar: Welcome to the armchair barmy army - 3 members so far, me, sarumite and you. And never mind the 300 runs, it's the wickets I'm really worried about! Goodnight all
Can I enroll my other half - He has been champing at the bit for this to start. I can see I am not going to get a look in with the tv for a while (still I don't usually watch it much anyway). :-)
Your partner's welcome to our little club JimJools - but I don't know that his zeal is going to last the course at Brisbane! Maybe Melbourne or Adelaide or Sydney will give us something to cheer about
