I have been given a 3 year old Hotpoint diswasher. It was in perfect working order before it was delivered to me on its side. Now It will not heat up and the top rotar arm does not rotate. Has it been damaged because of the way it was transported. (on its side) . Is there anything I can do to put it right.

Some heaters have a cut out that has to be reset manually. Look for a switch like thing on the heater body, and if it has popped out, push it back in. Unplug the dishwasher first, of course.
