Hi folks. We're off to southport for a few days but expecting an important email any day soon.

Are there any public places (e.g. McDonalds) where I can access free wifi. Failing that, does anyone know the opening hours of the library?

Thanks in anticipation

There's a map showing the location of loads of wifi hotspots in Southport, here:

(Place your cursor over the blue dots for details. Unfortunately, it's not clear which sites are free).

Southport Library opening hours are here:

What I usually do if i'm out and about and need to access the web is pull up in a town centre or residential area and there are usually quiet a few unsecure wireless networks about. I have had some wierd looks from passers by when sitting in my car on the web.

Thanks for your answer Chris. Looking at the places on the map it seems like they all charge. Hardly worth paying a fiver to see if an email has arrived, but the library is conveniently situated.

Cheers
