In the Helga painting, he drew her in a long cape loden-wool coat. Where could I find one of these coats. Thanks.

This is a lodenmantel ..very popular in Germany especially in the south, in Bavaria and in Austria Lovely and warm .This sort of thing

They are expensive though.I have a navy one which I bought in Germany that's too big now but it doesn't have the cape bit on the shoulders .
Googling around doesn't bring up anything in that style as in the painting ....not in the UK anyway only those dry as a bone waxed things which are horrible !
