Has anyone had any dealings with this company. My daughters friend has paid for tickets to see Scissor Sisters at Wembley tomorrow and the tickets still haven't arrived!! The phone number just rings with no answer.
Does anyone know if this company have gone bust. I've tried googling them but nothing came up.
I think they've been ripped off and my daughter is resigned to the fact that shes not going to get to see them but it doesn't seem fair that a company can take their money and just not send the tickets. What a rip-off.
Thanks in advance for any info on this outfit.

Thanks for all your answers.

Cheers PinkFizz, looks like they are still trading.
Many Thanks Badgerchops I'll suggest that my daughters friend tries the other numbers.

Thanks Whiskysheri for the link, very helpful.

Lets hope they get their tickets....
There's no company registered at Companies House under The Ticket Place Limited (only an old one which was dissolved back in the early nineties).

There is a The Theatre Company Limited registered, no sign of any insolvency history as yet but it it's not recent then it may not be showing as yet. It does seem to be dormant the moment though.

You could try STAR (The Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers). The companies don't seem to be a member but they may be able to help and advise you.

I am meant to go see the zutons at lincoln engine shed saturday night but no tickets have arrived.....bought them thru lincolnshire echo paper!!!!! number is constantly engaged, if it is a scam there must be alot of people scammed as it is quite a big reputable newspaper.....NOT HAPPY!!!!
Never had dealings with them, but I think The Ticket Place is right next to London Bridge station, just off Borough High Street - they've been there for years as I used to pass them on my way to work every day.
Probably not gone bust - but just bad at answering phones!
did you have any luck in getting your tickets for the concert, i am waiting on tickets to see George Michael and he is on this Saturday and and i still haven't received the tickets. The telephone is just ringing out, i have even tried e-mailing them, but the e-mail address is not recognisable. I am starting to panic now. :-(
Thanks

I'm really sorry but the tickets didn't turn up and my daughter never managed to contact anyone. the phone just rang out. She was very disappointed.
My only suggestion for you is to try to visit the actual ticket seller in person and see whats going on.
I don't want you to be disappointed as well, but it doesn't look promising.
I'm sorry not to be more optimistic.
Good luck

Thanks so much for replying to me, have you took any further action or reported the company to anyone? I only called them 2 weeks ago to see when they would be sending the tickets out and someone answered the phone saying the tickets would be delivered 7-10 days before the concert. I can't believe they are now not answering the phone and i have spent over GBP 300 on the tickets.
i really feel for your daughter, if i get anywhere with this company i will let you know, but it doesn't look good!!

Hi chick,
It was my daughters friend who paid for the tickets, and as far as I know he's not followed it up. He's accepted he's been ripped off. They told him the tickets would be delivered 10 days before the concert as well. I have been telling them to try to contact somebody to get their money back but they've not done it yet.
I really hope you have more luck, and the tickets turn up.
Good Luck

Awww no :(

Try Trading Standards, their site has lots of useful information...

http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/

http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/

May also be worth trying Watchdog...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/consumer/tv_and_radio/wat chdog/

They both have sample complaint letters that you can adapt.

There are also the links and contact details in my above post.

Were the tickets purchased by credit card? There may be come comeback here.

You could also try posting on law to get some more advice. I'm a solicitor but i'm afraid it's not my area.
My dad bought me and my sister tickets to see justin timberlake from the ticket place and on receiving the receipt it has made us suspicious that it is very informal and uninformative, so we have been trying to get in touch with the ticket place and there is no answer. we are obviously panicing as these people have our bank details and the tickets themselves cost alot more than we were led to believe. The postcode on the receipt is for a London address but the money has gone into an eastbourne bank account. Reading your comments has alarmed us further and are desperately trying to contact them if any of get in contact with them please let us know. As far as i can see these people are thieves and this could eventually be a job for the police or fraud squad. Thanks
I have spoken to someone from 'the ticket place' and they were very rude and unhelpful.on the confirmation was it under the name of 'BPA'? Also was the mobile phone number 07974427465? It would be really helpful if you could let me know asap?

Hi May,
I'll try to find out for you. As I've in said in previous posts it was my daughter who was going, I was asking for info on her behalf as she doesn't have internet access.
I've printed of everybody's answers and given them to her to follow up to try to get their money back.
Her friend got the "tickets" as a birthday present from his parents so I'm not sure how they booked them.. I think it was online.
I'll try to find out anything else I can so others might be more fortunate than my daughter and her friend.

Thank you i do appreciate any information you can give me as these have set my dad back abit of money and its ridiculous people like that would get away with it.
