cats scratching

my cat keeps on scratching on the carpets near the doors to get in is there anything i could buy or try to stop them (like the stop chew spray for dogs?)

Yes there are plenty of products on the market for stopping this. I use Shaws Natural Repellent which is all natural ingredients and works well. Though Im not sure if its the answer for you because the cat will still want to get through the door. We leave all our doors open except where its suitable to install cat flaps. You could try asking the cat nicely to knock!
