The xbox ha s a maxiumum res of 720p or 1080i i understand 720p to be better do to a lack of interlace (missing lines) you might want to get a 1080p set ready for the onslaught of HD films
Hi,
I've got an Xbox 360 & use a Sony Bravia. Most games run at 720p, with some at 1024i. To be honest there isn't really much difference between the two.
I suppose any HDTV would do as long as it's got 1024i & 720p support. The HD connector is 5 coloured round connectors with a similar look to audio input into an audio stereo.
You should buy a TV with a HDMI connector as well (for future proofing) even though the Xbox doesn't use this.
The Sony Bravia is the best HD LCD available but at a high cost of around a 1,000 (32in). Having one myself I know that they have all the relevant connectors.
One note of warning - If you want to mount on the wall you can only use a Sony bracket that cost around 200.00.
