When I've downloaded wma files, neither my Windows Media Player nor iTunes will play them as they are looking for a licence and I end up with it asking me to download a virus called Play.exe, well I'm pretty sure it's a virus anyway. Why can't I play any wma files, anyone??

Where have you downloaded them from?

Is it just a regular blah.wma file, or does it have a different extension on the filename?

No just standard wma files, no extension other than wma. They're from Limewire but I used to be able to play them!
Do you get this problem with files you d/l'd a while back, or just recent ones? If the latter, it's probably down to people putting tracks with DMA in their shared folder.
