For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As I understand it, for births aboard ships or aircraft, the baby will be 'registered' according to the nationality of the shipping-company or airline as well as according to the nationality of the parents. He/she would, in other words, have dual nationality. Different countries doubtless have different rules, but the child may technically be entitled to two passports.
