seem to remember of one on a ba flight and the place of birth was given as being on board the aircraft and the co-ordinates of the position of the plane at the time.any would take the same citizenship of the parent i'd guess.

As I understand it, for births aboard ships or aircraft, the baby will be 'registered' according to the nationality of the shipping-company or airline as well as according to the nationality of the parents. He/she would, in other words, have dual nationality. Different countries doubtless have different rules, but the child may technically be entitled to two passports.
