If you are lifting entire pieces of music for a world-wide distribution, you will probably attract copyright legislation, if it's pretty local and background music, then go ahead, and if you get a letter, plead ignorance. Maybe discuss an insurance policy to avoid the worst excesses of a court case, but really, it's highly unlikely anyone will bother, if they even find out. It's a bit of a judgement call (cxrikey this fence is uncomfortable!)
