anyone know where i can buy some wide fitting boots, by wide i mean on the claf, just got some from next and they arent very wide at all, i havent got fat legs just slightly bigger calfs than usual!!!
Dunno if this will help but Next also do wide fitting knee high boots. Larger stores should have them, check out the catalogue there usually is a better selection though.
Hi gina
Try www.duoboots.com I bought two pairs from here last winter and they are brill. You measure your calfs and they make them to fit that size. Brill will be buying some this year from there, just had the new brouche delivered too.
thanks for all your answers ive ordered some from the shoe tailor so will see what they are like. i did try evans on saturday but they told me that they dont do leather, which i thought was odd, maybe it was the just the store that i used but i will keep looking until i find some, whats the betting we have a really mild winter now and i wont need them!!
Whenever I get asked about wide fitting boots (which I do a lot thanks to my chunky calfs!) I always recommend www.weloveyourfeet.com
They have their new Autumn/Winter 06 range out and I have treated myself to two pairs so far this season and they are lovely. I can't wait for it to get colder to start wearing them alot more. I like the range they have as I don't see their boots anywhere else.
Sorry I'm late - you may have found some by now. But in case you haven't, I got two pairs recently from the Ambrose Wilson website. One pair is beige suede and the other is brown leather (these also come in black and tan). Both were available with a choice of calf sizes and are very comfy around my chunky legs! Not too expensive either - one pair was about 50 and the other 35.
I sympathise with how difficult it is to find boots that fit. I'm a size 14 and it drives me insane when I find boots that I like, only to find that they are made for people with legs like pencils!
