Ive just had some Xmas carolers knocking at my door. They looked so shocked when I told em to naff off. 11o' clock at night and 3 weeks early. I HATE XMAS. Wake me up in the new year please.
Oh dear, you don't know what your missing. But I do agree it is rather early in December for Christmas carolers knocking at the door and 11 pm is too late (if you know what I mean). I don't argree with kids going round caroling on their own - with adults and collecting for a charity, Yes. But that is all.
11 p.m. is definitely too late to be out carrolling, especially if they are young children.
Franky I wouldn't open my door to anybody who knocked at that 11 p.m. whether they were singing carols or not.
I hope that at that late hour of the night you had your door on a security chain before you opened it? Can't be too careful these days.
I'm right with you Wallis - stuff Christmas and roll on the new year when sanity may again prevail amongst the general populace (except those who rush to the sales of course!)
I also had carol singers last night, about 7 oclock, i thought like you that it was earley but it was a terrible night ,and they did look sweet with the tinsel draped on them, so my heart ruled my head[again] and i did give them some money
So agree with you Wallis1007. As well as carollers what about the pressure to overspend, listening to naff Christmas music in the shops since October, overpriced holidays and restaurant menus, and the queues in supermarkets of people who buy thinking that they will never open again! Otherwise I love it!
