I've Googled all over the place and found a multitude of sites with the album on but none of them mention the orchestra. Can anyone help please?
The Best Of Maxim Vengerov 11-CD Box Set This fantastic box-set featuring talented Russian violinist Maxim Vengerov includes works by Prokofiev, Sibelius, Brahms and Tchaikovsky.
Monday's Q: Which orchestra plays on this recording?
There is information that he is accompanied by Masur, Barenboim, Rostropovich, Abbado & Mehta, but that's not much help if there is an orchestra as well.
I don't know whether this will work. I came across it via Lycos. If it doesn't, please let me know, and I'll try some other way.It does look as if there's more than one orchestra. Good luck !!
If you get it, click on The Best of Maxim Vengerov at the left of the screen. I don't know whether you're able to download, but it looks a possibility if it's safe to do so.
Ta Muffet.
I used the link and got a page for the set.
Clicking on download tho just took me to another page of albums, none of which was it.
I even registered with the site but that didn't seem to help
Hi Muffet
Tues and Wed Qs ask for conductors of orchestras which makes Mon Q strange so...
Just been onto Classicfm and spoke to the lady who set the questions.
There was a bit missed on Monday's question. It is which orchestra played a certain piece, Bruch I think, but she is going to update the website
