I was convinced i was going to hold out for the PS3, but couldn't wait and bought a 360. I've got Gears of War and Project Gotham 3. What other ones can anyone recommend. I like kinda fun games like SSX, games with a bit of a sense of humour, and basically any good games at all, Thanks in advance :)

Hi there John ;o) I bet you aren't suprised i'm answering this question?!
Anyway, my 360 collection looks like this not including Gears Of War which I have just completed (did you think it was worth the hype?). Make of my collection what you will!:
Retail Games:
Condemned - A horror FPS (or rather plank of wood to the face!). I love this game, it has a fantastic atmosphere and I thought was very underrated upon release.
F.E.A.R. - Another FPS from the same developers as Condemned though much more weapons based (the usual guns etc). Also has a cool slow down mode similar to the Max Payne games
Dead Rising - Basically a game version of Dawn Of The Dead (the original 70's film). Hundreds of zombies on screen and if you have ever fancied killing zombies with a guitar (you can pretty much use anything you can find in the stores in the mall) then this is the game for you!
Dead Or Alive 4 - a fighting game. Enough said!
Need For Speed Most Wanted & Carbon - I'm sure you know about these!
Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion - RPG. This game is HUGE and you need to have a lot of time to put into it to get the most out of it. It isn't usually my kind of game but I do like this!
Prey - another FPS! Nothing special here gameplay wise (apart from the portals) but a good game.
Quake IV - Yet another FPS (I love 'em!!) Again nothing new but a good blast (also comes with Quake 2)
Call Of Duty 2 - See I told you! Good stuff here but you may want to check out the new one instead (I will soon!)
Ridge Racer 6 - Great fun if a bit too on the easy side (at least early on)
Downloaded from Xbox Live Arcade:
Doom
Street Fighter 2
Lumines Live!
Geometry Wars - Simple but very addictive shooter
Cloning Clyde - A humourous puzzle/platformer

And next month we have Capcoms new game - Lost Planet. There are single & multiplayer demos available on live - It's
Other highy rated games on the 360 include:

Test Drive Unlimited
Fight Night Round 3
Burnout Revenge
Splinter Cell Double Agent
Table Tennis
Ghost Recon : Advanced Warfighter
Viva Pinata
Moto GP 06

I've probably forgot something but that should keep you going for a while! ;o)

Jeeeeeeeez, you know a lot about games for a girl;O) Just kidding, thanks a lot for your help Tracy. I do like Gears of War, but personally, i don't think it's a patch on Resident Evil 4 :O)
Tracy6697 might be interested to hear that the PC has had most of the games mentioned for quite some time. With new direct x 10 games on the horizon check out crysis vids online then go back and look at cod2, prey and q4 hmmm sell that X-brick while its still worth something and get a dx10 video card.
mack can you remind us who makes direct x and then re-think your question ? ;-)
Mack, I've never been a PC gamer (unless you count the Sinclair Spectrum I had during the 80's!). I like the ease of use of consoles, plus the key word in your post is 'most' games.
With the 360 and consoles in general I can get a slice of PC games (granted, a bit downgraded graphically) and also games which will never appear on PC and wouldn't be suited to it. Also I don't have to worry about upgrading graphics cards, compatibility issues etc which is never a problem with consoles.
I know the PC excels in FPS games and will always be one step ahead of consoles so it may be something to think about for the future, but for now I'm a console gamer ;o)

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez, the Spectrum? Surely the Commodore 64 was the place to be :O)
Tracy...female gamers are rare enough but female gamers who were doing it in the 80's are even rarer !

I take my hat off to ya !

ps im also old enough to remember the speccy...even sadder i had a zx81 !

I had the old atari thingumybobber(Not too sure if that's the tech name), i was surprised myself to find a long standing female gamer, and just glad it's not just 30 something men who will be walking about with claw like hands in 30 years time :)
tracey6697 just thought there seemed to be a theme to the games. if you count up the extra 20's per game you pay that would go towards your hardware. if you buy a good card one they are good for 3 years or so i fought the mouse /keyboard combo for far to long, it takes a bit of getting used to but hard to go back to joypad in fps. compatability issues are never a prob for me or if there are they are quickley resolved by a patch but they are realy a thing of the past. expansion packs on consoles involve paying for the whole game all over again from the shops or i guess they will charge for download on xbox live for new levels characters etc which you can download for free on pc to get extra life out of your fav game.
i suppose i saw some passion and thought you were ready to be turned to the light side :)
