I have just been reminded that I offered to make my best mates mums cake for her 50th... ITS THIS SATURDAY!

Eek! I have the ingredients to make a chocolate sponge but I am having a block as to how I should decorate the blimmin thing, she works passionately for Born Free so i was thinking of doing a chocolate cake with white paw prints going up the cake in an arty fashion. Then there will be a figure of her with a lion cub and a baby elephant on top.

If I just bought big bars of choc and melted it on top would that set solid? what do you think I should do the sides with?? does it sound ok to you?? I need to make a shopping list..oh the panic...

Hi Tash..
Not sure if it will help but Sainsbury's will print a photo onto icing for you to sit on the top and just pipe around! I did a collage for my nans birthday.. her and the kids at different ages went down a treat!
Choc will set solid on the cake! and on the side but you will have to build up in layers??
and a nice wide ribbon? starts to get expensive though!
Good luck I hope it goes well for you.
