Hi Joop is a nice one. Brenda
What sort of smells does he like? Musky and sandal woody or lighter cologne sort of stuff?

One of the nicest male perfumes I have ever smelled is Habit Rouge by Guerlain. I have bought it for my Dad and male friends in the past and they have all been hooked. I actually wear it myself too as it is so nice.
Acqua Di Parma Colonia is also nice, very fresh and clean smelling.
My husbands a bit older and he wears Jean Paul Gautier.
Paul Smith has two very nice men's fragrances: one is called Paul Smith London and is in a tall navy blue bottle and the other (I think) is just called Paul Smith and is in a green cube bottle.

The Hugo Boss range also has quite a few nice ones
May I recommend Jaguar for the slightly older gentleman. It is the same company as the luxury car, and is truly a class aroma. They do three styles which are all sublime.
joop. women love it
My hubby uses Joop and Lynx pink. He's 53:-))
my hubby likes diesel red and paul smith story if that helps at all
Yes, Joop`s good, so is Davidoff Cool Water. My OH has used both for the last few years and he`s just a bit older than your dad.
paco robanne ultraviolet
Chanel Allure or Issy Miyake.
Don't get him Issy miyake!! thats what i wear, and i'm only 36 LOL
Why not try good ol Marks & Sparks. We got my Dad some of there aftershave stuff and it smells lush. Three bottles for 9.50. Ideal.
Me Dads 75 by the way.
