I have the outlaws descending on my house this christmas and need some ideas as to how to amuse them and make the day 'fun'!
They do not like TV (dont have one in their house), they DO like interaction, they are Christians, fairly straight laced, non drinkers and non smokers!
I wish to evolve from last years limp efforts that included Connect 4, scrabble and Trivial Pursuit!
Do the descending hoardes include children as well as adults? Last year, my husband and I visited with a couple of paper-airplane kits we bought at the Barnes & Noble. We all divided into teams (drew names out of hats, so comfortable couples were split up), made our best planes and had a backyard contest for the longest flight. Winners were waited on hand & foot at dinnertime. Hokey, but fun.
I played DVD Cludo last night, which was excellent. and a really good laugh. I would recommend this to anyone. You get clues throughout the game, so you have to think as well playing the game.
a jigsaw set up somewhere in the house so that anyone not wanting to take part in any game can do that.
- same as for the bedlam cube great little puzzle
pictionary is a fav of mine too!!
also super scrable is a newer 'funnier' version of the org. game
Poor you! Sounds like a fun Christmas!. We keep a jigsaw set up on a separate table so that if people are bored they can spend some time on it and still seem to be "participating in an activity". Do you have any nice walks nearby? (Tell them to bring their wellies). And have you trawled through the Quizzes & Puzzles section for inspiration?
Just don't forget to keep a gin bottle tucked away in your bedroom for emergencies.
the new dvd games are a family must have for christmas weve got loads and all have great fun we even get prises in to win now too for the gala bingo one
family fortunes

good luck and merry christmas
Would they like one of those religious DVDs to watch - they are long and would take up a lot of the time:) They wouldn't be risking being contaminated by TV and since they don't own one, they probably haven't seen any of them!!! :)
Why not try Card games. There are some great games you can play with a pack of cards. And everyone can sit round a table, and once everyones hooked you, the host, can sneek of to garb a beer!!!!
Good luck, and Happy Christmas.
