False Eyelashes

I am going to a School Disco for my work xmas do and plan to wear False Eyelashes - I have never worn them before and wonder if you have to do anything special when getting ready to go out.

By that I mean can you just stick them on and go or do you have to cut them to make them look more realistic?

Do you put them on and then do the rest of your eye make-up??

I don't want to look as if a spider is climbing over my face please advise - thanks

I grew up in the 70's when false eyelashes were worn all the time....
1) practice putting them on several times as they aren't easy
2) look down into a mirror as you put them on
3) use tweezers to hold them as you can see what your doing more easily
4) clean all the glue off them before putting away
5) apply eyeliner (if using it) after the lashes
6) ask a mate to tell you if they think the lashes need trimming... most are properly trimmed but may be slightly to long for your eye shape and they will dig in as you blink
NEVER trim eyelashes while stuck on
7) use a blunted cocktail stick to carefully apply a tiny bit of glue to the ends if they havent stuck properly
8) practice lots again

Oh I forgot... only apply mascara after the lashes... :0)
