I've just got a new pooter with DVD RW and TFT Screen and Cyberlink's Power DVD. When I play a DVD, the image is not very sharp and looks sub-VHS quality. Desktop Icons, Web pages, and BMP's/JPG's all display perfectly crisply. Anyone got an idea what the problem could be?

This is because DVD's use MPEG2 compression. On a typical TV screen the resolution is not very high, so DVD's appear extremly clear, but as a computer monitor is much sharper the compression artifacts can be seen more obviously. There is no problem with any of your hardware, hope this helps!
Me again, forgot to mention that DVD video is recorded at a size of 720*576 pixels, but computer resolutions are much higher e.g. my monitor is at 1024*768 so when you play a DVD at full screen it is actually resized.
