Ginger hair

My best mate has just had a ginger baby. She told me he was blonde!! He is very ginger. I have no problem with ginger hair, but she always used to slag it off in her sisters' kids! Anyway, she is very blonde (completely, no brown in her hair) and her husband has light brown hair. I was quite surprised that they produced a ginger baby. Should I not be surprised with these two colourings?

What exactly IS ginger hair ??? There is no such thing !! Everyone here keeps going on about ginger hair but the three main groups of hair is classified as Red , Blonde and Brunette. If you look at hair dyes , they make no mention of ginger hair. Geez ! Oh and Ratter I don't know what your problem is with redheads but get over it. Everyone has the base of red in their hair ...... it's what gives it it's lovely sheen. If you go to get your hair dyed at the hairdressers they will mix your colours with a base of red otherwise your hair would look dull and lifeless. So when you see your lovely shine after you've just washed it , remember it's the lovely red in your hair breaking through. Oh and there is only one hair colour ....... red. Black and white are not colours ..... they are shades. So prrrrrrp !

Oh and the only ones who are not the full shilling are those who are making ridiculous statements about redheads having lower intelligence. What utter drivel ! It ranks up there with redheads smelling differently and for the record , redheads are not all Scottish or of Scottish descent. Whilst there are indeed many celtic descendants , I think that the lovely people of Ireland would dispute that as there are many fair redheads in Ireland.

Polly, I promise you I don't have a problem with redheads, where did you pick that up from? I'm just saying that Ginger is not red, blonde is not Ginger. I can also promise you I have no red in my hair, I am nearly bald and the little hair I do have is grey!!

And I didn't say redheads are of Scottish decent, I said ginger!! and I am sorry but it is a fact, lots of Scottish blood in the Irish, all Celts aren't they!!

No i'm not ummmm. Just know a lot of lovely redheads and they get such a hard time so i'm sticking up for them. Sorry Ratter ..... thought you were having a go at redheads when you said don't get me started on the whole ginger thing and then said that gingerism (?) is a genetic fault (and again , ?) Was that a joke ? To show there's no hard feelings anyway i'm puckering up for that kiss you offered so mwah mwah mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. I bet your grey hairs have a lovely sheen though. That'll be the red in you ha ha.

Polly the only sheen on my head is from the light bouncing of my bald patch.

No I wasn't joking about the genetic fault causing ginger hair, its true, and as I say, only found in those of Scottish decent, nowhere else in the whole world.
