Pro version really aimed at businesses with networks with full administrator rights. All software that runs on home will run on Pro.Not really worth upgrading unless you are running several PCs and always changing the hardware in them as I do which would often reqire re-installing the OS and re-activating it and as I said only the Corporate edition lets you do this.I should wait for Longhorn or whatever it ends up as if you are spending serious money.
Go to www.belarc.com and download Belarc advisor. When you run the programme it gives you a complete rundown of your PC`s h/ware and s/ware including dates of installation od service packs and updates and if like me you installed these as and when you installed Windows this will give you your install date.
