Contraceptive Implant

Have any of you ladies had one ... thinking about having one but would like some peeps feedback :o)

I have one of those mirena coils, so I m not sure what the implant is like.

But my best friend had one and said it was marvelous, No periods, no pains each month she only had it taken out so she could have a baby.

I would have had one but I'm just too squeamish.

I had thought about the coil but with having laser treatment and a colposcopy etc etc i wasn't sure if it would be ok ..will go see the Dr for more info....... i'm bit concerned about the "nick " in the arm to place it bit :o)

I used to have the implant, it's excellent and was a fantastic party trick for showing people your microchip.

Seriously tho, it was excellent while I had it and the 'nick' in the arm doesn't hurt at all. For a couple of days it feels weird having it there and you notice it (like if you have a filling or something) but after a while it's just one of those things.

It is much less hassle than any other contraceptive I've ever used. Hope that helps.

My sister had one and it wasn't that great. When she came off it she basically went through puberty again (extremely grumpy and very very sore boobs). I don't think she'd do it again. Good luck though.

2 of my friends have it and they are both really happy with it...i would have it, but its the whole injection, needle in the arm thing that puts me off!!!
