Braun Hand Blender - Help the novice!!

Hi, I bought a Braun Hand Blender over the weekend, purely because I wanted a wisk to make Angel Delight with (simple pleasures) and it came with a wisk attachment. It also chops and blends apparently. I was hoping the box would contain a handy "here are some suggestions for use" but alas nothing, except operating instructions in 20 languages.
I can cook the very basics, I have my few signature dishes but never variate or try anything new.
What can this magical device do to help me in the kitchen, do you have 1? What do you use it for? Any tips?

Hi, I too have one of these " kitchen gadgets" and to be honest all I use it for is blending homemade soups or making milkshakes and have used it before to mix yorkshire puddings. Its another thing that I thought I couldn't live without but lives for long spells in a kitchen drawer! Happy cooking. Gill

It's great for whipping double cream - but like previous ABer, mine spends more time in the cupboard.
