Dee-M-See. Just had a look at Aura Lee and according to Wikipedia Aura Lee was an American Civil War song. See for yourself at:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aura_Lee

So I really don't think that 'Love me Tender' is based on and Irish Melody.
