I just signed up with tiscali and they send me a modem wich has only got a usb connection to connect it to the computer. This is a problem because I use a wireless router, is there any way I can get round this?

The only thing I could think of is some kind of adaptor or networking both the computers but im not sure how to do that without connecting the modem to the router.

You can buy usb - to ethernet connectors but this won't be ideal.

I'm surprised as usb is not the best way of connecting the modem to the pc in any case.

Contact tiscali now and see if it can be resolved.
I've got Tiscali Broadband and a wireless router.

I did it the otherway round though, I had Tiscali broadband first (with a usb modem) then got the router. When I went wireless the broadband modem became redundant, I don't need to use it.

Your router is proberbly a modem router, as far as I know mines just a router. I might see about getting a modem router, how much was yours?
I think it was about 50 but that was last year so probably get them cheaper now. Its a D-Link one and I've never had any problem with it.
You can either try asking tiscali for an ethernet modem, but most likely you'll need a modem+router such as this one:
