It's wrong. Just because it' the 'oldest profession' doesn't make it morally right. Maybe we, as a society, should concentrate on why men have this need.
I think it's awful the way in which some people seem to think that it's their own fault WTF!! I sincerely hope that any smug patronising pr@t on here doesn't have any young females in their family and is foolishly thinking that it couldn't happen to them!! They were young and vulnerable and no doubt loved and now missed by their family and friends! Have a bit of compassion for heaven's sake!
Hmmm, i dont agree with a lot of the answers on here for this topic. Firstly, its not their own fault that they have been killed. Just like its not a childs fault if they get abused by someone. Secondly, i dont think it should be legalised, just cos it has been around for ages. If you legalise that, then why not legalise drugs. In answer to the question about why men use them, isnt it obvious enough? Although a lot of the men who use them, seem to be weirdo's, they arent. you would be surprised at how many 'high profile' people use them. This guy(s) who is doing this to them, is a one off, which you get in any society. obviously he has mental issues. To label prostitutes as dregs of society though is a bit harsh i think. They are still someones sister/mother who have problems of their own, and see that as a way of dealing with their problems...
Hmmm, makemesmile. A lot of these guys using them are married. Doesnt that say something about the women in those marriages. They obviously arent satisfying their husbands. Without sounding cruel, its about time all these 'happily married' women woke up to reality and started looking at why their husbands/partners etc. should feel the need to go see a prostitute. Men cant control their urges as good as women. They need satisfaction, and instantly. Its easy for a man to just have sex and think nothing of it, but a woman get emotionally involved, thats one of the reasons you dont get women curb crawlers. Can you imaging a male prostitute getting into a womans car, who he had sex with the night before and she turned up with all her kids and bags and said'i love you and i have left him'...
Well I think prositution should be legalised. Other country's like Sweden make sure all the prostitutes who live in brothel's are tested for aids and immunised and given contraception in whatever form. They have no need to walk the streets or depend on pimps who give them their 1st fix in order to get them hooked and dependendant on them. These women are safe in the brothels' and I really think they provide a service. If our government legalised prostitution I'd be the 1st to applaud.
So what type of women do you think would want to work in these brothels? What sane woman would make such a career move? Are you trying to tell me that these women sell sex because they like it? I thought they did it as a last resort. Why would we want this for ourselves? Personally, I value the female sex a little more highly than this. Would you want your mother/daughter/sister to sell herself in this way? Women deserve to be helped out of this way of life, not enticed.
