mums xmas card

yesterday my father passed away so its a crappy xmas for us all, im trying to take my mind off things by writing out some xmas cards and have come to my mums xmas card, i just don't know what to say how can i say happy xmas when its not, any idea's what to say on the card just something nice and simple

Firstly My deepest sympathy to you and your mum. Secondly how about a simple I Love You on the card. At times like this the most important thing is to have people around you who care.

just an idea dunt give her a card you can buy from clintons a bear hug its a icle figure and it has different messags, ther really cute and its better than card because she can keep it, i also think you should rite in your card , i love you

My mum passed away 6 years ago and it is still hard. Just keep it simply for your mum, she'll know what you are feeling. Remember, even though you feel for your mum and will be looking out for her, you too are grieving so don't forget your thoughts too. x

My deepest sympathies to you and your family at this most difficult time.
My Uncle passed away 2 weeks before Christmas, 2 years ago and while he wasnt as close as my Father, he was still a very important person in my life and i felt wretched.
I would suggest the same as Spangle, Sean and Amber and keep your card simple, easy to read and full of love.
Can i also add, your Father would probably not want you to spend a sad Christmas - enjoy what you can and when you can and remember that eventhough your Father may not be with you - he will certainly be with you in spirit and will want you to be as happy as you can.

ooh Bernie so very sorry about your sad news - don't know what to say - thinking of you and your poor Mum, my heart goes out to you. I was given a crystal angel when I lost someone very close, it gives me comfort and two years on I can look at the angel and smile, remembering the person I lost and miss. Huge hug

My husband died last year and this will be my second Christmas alone. I say alone but I'm not alone as I have the love of my daughters just like your Mum has yours. Tell her how much you love her, give her a big hug and keep talking about your Dad, it will keep him alive in your memory.
