My older brother was on deed to house along with my father. There are 3 children . my 2 brothers and me. The house sold in nov1 2006. And he keeps promising us the value divided evenly three ways and nothing has transpired . could he be have legal problems with the final sale.?
If, as you say he was the co-owner of the house, then on your father's death the house would belong to him. Correct me if I am wrong on my understanding of what you have said. In which case there is no obligation on him to pass any of the proceeds on to any of you unless it was specified in the Will for any reason, or unless any of you were dependent on him financially. What was said, were the proceeds promised to you verbally and are you expecting them ??
has you dad died? im only asking because if its to do with a will, it will taske ages. you may also find it takes the solicitor ages to give the money too
also......you say the house was sold on nov 1st? did the keys exchange on this date or was the sale agreed STC on this day? that could be 2 months from the key/money handover date?
