I by 'band' you mean more than 1 person, then it could be Adlof Rickenbacher, George Beauchamp and Paul Barth ... they made they first electrics in the 1930's and it would be naive to think they never played (or tried to play ) together at some point.
The Benny Goodman Sextet (and orchestra) featured Charlie Christian on electric guitar around 1940-41. Sadly Charlie Christian died in 1941 so we shall never know how his style developed.

Several jazz guitarists were using electrically amplified instruments by the mid-1940s and Les Paul was having hit records using his trademark multitracking technique by the end of that decade.
