Dont you think its about time they banned christmas...?,Every year its the same old story december 25th and its christmas day.I would quite happily block it out,I think we should have it at different times each year.what do you think...?

While I'm not going to be seen out on the streets holding up banners saying that we should ban Christmas, I certainly couldn't care less if anybody actually did so. However, I fail to see the point in varying the date. (It's already confusing enough with different countries, particularly in eastern Europe, celebrating Christmas on different dates).

I accept that Athley is obviously a Christmas lover but it's absolutely no good his/her saying to Christmas-haters "Just block it out". It's impossible to function in the normal world without it impinging on a non-Christmas existance e.g I went in the Post Office this morning to carry out a totally non- Christmas transaction and had to queue behind millions of people sending parcels to Timbuctoo etc etc etc And for non-Christians to pretend to celebrate Christmas is the height of hypocrisy.
