We are having very boring traditional meal of prawn cocktail, turkey with usual stuff and christmas pudding. Not forgetting mince pies of course. Any advice on which wine to have with which course to liven things up would be most appreciated!
Thanx

Im having prawns as a starter, and having a New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.. It will also be ok for Turkey as will a chardonnay, ..or if you prefer red, a light Pinot noir will go well

Thanks Normy. I do prefer red but am happy to drink any wine! In-laws are coming for their meal and although not at all adventurous with their food (hence the menu) they are very partial to the odd glass or three of wine. Will be their first Christmas meal with us so just wanted to make sure the wine served would match the food.
Thanx for your suggestion and have a lovely Christmas.
If its only the in-laws, get down to Aldi and get a few bottles of Baron Jean' red.. a fantastic wine at around 2.60, but don't be fooled by the price... It tastes much better than most prices around 5
